- COS Funding Opportunities: by popular demand, STATE ALUMNI"s newest addition to the Online Resource Center will continue to be available throughout 2009! COS Funding Opportunities is the largest, most comprehensive database of available funding, containing more than 25,000 records representing over $33 billion in funding.
See what alumni are saying about COS Funding Opportunities:
- "Will use it again, for it gives a very user friendly search system, searches can be filtered in various ways and even has a search history. Perfect!"
- "I think the COS Funding Opportunities database is fantastic… I wasn"t even aware that there was such a lot of funding out there for people like us, in the Third World. It is really useful and I"ll definitely be visiting the database again."
- "This is a brilliant opportunity for me as a scholar to be able to find useful funding when I want to go back to the US or other countries to participate in conferences or other relevant studies or research seminars worldwide. It is crucial that this resource is available for every State Alumni, so that he or she can expand on the experience had while on a US Dept. of State-grant in the past. It is of great value and importance that such experiences [are not just] once-in-a-lifetime, but also something one could use as a platform for later studies and research as well..."
Announcing the New International Visitors Community
There is now an International Visitors Community on State Alumni! The International Visitors Community (https://alumni.state.gov/ivlp) is a place for alumni and current participants of the International Visitor Leadership Program to connect, share ideas, post news stories, share pictures, and engage with alumni from across the globe. To navigate to the International Visitors Community, log in to State Alumni at https://alumni.state.gov, locate the "Communities" menu on the right side of the page, under the region map, and select "International Visitors Community."
FulbrightWeb.org Becomes the Fulbright Community on State Alumni
We are pleased to announce the transition from FulbrightWeb.org to a new Fulbright Community on State Alumni. The community will bring together current Fulbright program grantees and Fulbright alumni, and will serve as the program"s professional support network for the nearly 300,000 Fulbright alumni worldwide. All Fulbrighters past and present are invited to register for State Alumni and may go to http://exchanges.state.gov or https://alumni.state.gov to do so.
FulbrightMail.org email accounts, replacing existing FulbrightWeb.org email accounts, will also be available to Fulbrighters registered for the State Alumni website. Alumni who previously had FulbrightWeb accounts and existing State Alumni members should have been notified of their new address already. New State Alumni registrants will be processed on a rolling basis once their accounts are verified. Questions may be sent to webmaster@alumni.state.gov. Use of FulbrightWeb and FulbrightWeb.org email accounts has been extended until March 31, 2008.
